Co-developing new services and programs in agricultural land management for biodiversity outcomes and environmental market access in remote Australia
Co-developing land management programs in agricultural systems for biodiversity outcomes and environmental market access in remote Australia
Landcare Australia and the University of Melbourne have joined forces to explore how farmers, pastoralists, and Indigenous land managers can be better supported to enhance biodiversity in production landscapes.
This Australian Government Department of Education National Industry PhD Project will work directly with rural and remote communities to co-design and test practical, locally relevant service and program models that integrate biodiversity outcomes with productive, resilient agricultural systems.
🔍 The project aims to:
Strengthen the connection between agricultural practice, biodiversity
outcomes, and sustainable livelihoods across rural and remote Australia and build the evidence base for inclusive and effective environmental programs.
