Dynamic Safety and Quality Control in Hospitals Using Machine Learning: a Learning Health System Approach
How can we make healthcare safer through smarter data?
Beamtree, a leader in healthcare AI, has partnered with the University of South Australia to develop a next-generation data surveillance system—designed to detect anomalies, prevent adverse events, and strengthen safety indicators across Australia and New Zealand.
With over 200 hospitals already supported by Beamtree and the Health Roundtable, this project builds on a strong foundation of impact. It will combine advanced statistical methods and machine learning to elevate how safety is monitored and managed in clinical settings.
This collaboration brings together:
🔹 Lachlan Rudd – Head of Data and Insights, Beamtree
🔹 Associate Professor Ivan Lee – University of South Australia
🔹 Yvonne LIN - PhD Candidate - Beamtree
Together, they’re shaping the future of healthcare safety.
