Designing Eco-Pods for Off-Grid Sustainability in Diverse Climates
Campus Plus is thrilled to announce the official commencement of a new Australian Government Department of Education National Industry PhD Project between Epic Architecture and Griffith University on an industry-focused PhD project aimed at addressing key challenges in the Building Technology and Design sector.
The project, titled "Designing Eco-Pods for Off-Grid Sustainability in Diverse Climates" focuses on developing architecturally advanced eco-pods that are self-sufficient and capable of operating off-grid across various climates and regions. It seeks to provide innovative solutions for sustainable living, reducing environmental impact, and promoting energy independence, transforming the residential construction industry.
The project leverages the industry expertise of Ms Kate Alexander from Epic Architecture, and the academic expertise of Dr Peyman Akhgar and Dr Mohammad Sanjari of Griffith University, in Ms Jena Glover’s research as the PhD candidate. This project epitomises a collaborative approach that bridges the gap between academia and industry to drive innovation, and deliver real-world impact.
Congratulations to all involved!
