Exploring the CORE issue of mobility: The Impact of Postural Alignment on Mobility Outcomes following Acquired Brain Injury

How can we improve physiotherapy assessment of walking following brain injury?

Campus Plus is pleased to announce the commencement of another Industry Researcher Award.

EpworthHealthcare has partnered with the University of Melbourne to investigate the impact of postural malalignment on walking outcomes following brain injury. The project will develop a validated measure postural alignment during walking using 3D-motion analysis and investigate the feasibility of using markerless motion capture technology in this patient cohort.

Epworth HealthCare is recognised nationally and internationally as a centre of clinical excellence in neurological clinical rehabilitation. This project will leverage the partnership between Epworth and the University of Melbourne to improve mobility outcomes for those with brain injury.

This collaboration brings together:

🔹 Prof. Gavin Williams – University of Melbourne and Epworth Healthcare

🔹 Dr. Michelle Kahn - University of Melbourne and Epworth Healthcare

🔹 Jack Beard – PhD Candidate, Epworth Healthcare
