Uploading Letters of Intent
Original release date: 26 February 2025
This GRLO Bitesized session (#38) covers the letter of intent requirements and body corporate eligibility for Round 5 grant applications, which close 14 March. The presentation focuses on uploading letters of intent through the Grant Management System (GMS), emphasising that only one document should be uploaded—the letter of intent itself. Body corporate eligibility applies exclusively to the Industry Researcher stream, with private entities (proprietary limited companies) typically qualifying. Government entities require additional verification through the Corporations Act 2001 or parliamentary acts. The session includes a live demonstration of uploading letters of intent in the GMS and stresses that industry partners must attest to their own body corporate status—neither universities nor Campus Plus can provide this attestation. Applicants are encouraged to familiarise themselves with the GMS well before the deadline.
